Labor’s positive plan for health.

When you or someone you love is sick, there’s nothing more important than getting the very best care, close to home.

That’s why we’ve built and upgraded 22 hospitals across the state, and hired more than 26,000 extra healthcare workers.

But there’s more to do.

We’ll start Australia’s biggest ever health infrastructure project, building a brand-new Royal Melbourne and Royal Women’s Hospitals next to the new Arden Station.

We’ll continue to upgrade hospitals across the state - including Stage Two of the Wonthaggi Hospital redevelopment, a brand-new West Gippsland Hospital, and a massive upgrade to the Monash Medical Centre.

And so that we have the incredible team to run them, we’ll make nursing and midwifery free to train the next generation of healthcare workers.

We’ll expand our Australian-first free IVF service – because cost shouldn’t be a barrier for starting a family.

And a re-elected Andrews Labor Government will open 20 new women’s health clinics at public hospitals – ensuring women’s health issues are afforded the seriousness they deserve.

Our positive plan for health means Victorians will get world-class care when they need it.
