SUPPORTING VICTORIA’S CYPRIOT COMMUNITY

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will provide $250,000 to the Cyprus Community of Melbourne & Victoria towards their Cyprus Community Redevelopment Project.

Minister for Families and Children Jenny Mikakos and Member for Oakleigh Steve Dimopoulos today announced the funding, while attending the organisation’s inaugural Halloumi Festival.

Labor’s commitment is in addition to $250,000 as part of the Multicultural Community Infrastructure Program, delivered in the Victorian Budget 2018/19.

The funding will support the Cypriot community in planning and capital works for a new building for the Cyprus Community of Melbourne & Victoria.

Only Labor will stand with our state’s proud multicultural communities, and only Labor is willing to make the investments that really matter.
