PROVIDING GOOD, FRESH FOOD TO MORE FAMILIES IN THE VALLEY
More families in the Latrobe Valley will have regular access to good, fresh food, with a re-elected Andrews Labor Government to establish a new Foodbank Hub in Morwell.
No family should have to go without fresh, healthy meals. That’s why the Andrews Labor Government has already invested $13.7 million in school breakfast clubs, serving more than five million meals to students across Victoria, including 126,000 kids in Morwell – but there’s more to do.
A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will invest $10 million to establish two new Foodbank Hubs in Morwell and Ballarat.
These new food hubs will expand Foodbank’s critical work, extending its fresh food supply to almost 100,000 families and creating new local jobs.
Morwell’s Hub will serve as a centralised regional warehouse, addressing the current storage bottleneck and providing the critical missing link between Foodbank’s supply of healthy foods and local families in need.
You can’t trust the Liberals to support struggling families in the Valley. Scott Morrison wanted to cut Foodbank funding just before Christmas – and the Victorian Liberals will cut vital support and services if they get the chance.
Only Labor will make these much needed investments in this vital service, serving more meals to more Victorians.

“A re-elected Labor Government will establish new Foodbank Hubs in both Morwell and Ballarat, so they can do even more work, providing families with healthy food, while creating jobs along the way.”
