Firefighters in Phillip Island will get the facilities they need to keep their community safe with a re-elected Andrews Labor Government to build a new local CFA station

Only Labor will make sure our firefighters have the modern facilities they need, investing $2.3 million to bring the station up to scratch.

The facility is tired and outdated. This major refurbishment will give the Phillip Island Brigade the modern facilities that it deserves.

The new station will house the Brigade’s four vehicles and appliances and provide space for the 50 volunteers that staff the station.

Land has already been acquired for the new station, as the existing site is too small for a refurbishment. The new station will be built on Ventnor Road in Cowes.

This follows the announcement to upgrade Phillip Island Community Hospital, build a new Bass Coast junior secondary school campus and introduce the Distinctive Landscapes Bill for the Bass Coast.

Only Labor will deliver the things that matter to people across Phillip Island, including the modern facilities our emergency services need to keep the local community safe.

“The Phillip Island Brigade is a pivotal part of the local community. But the facilities are ready for a refresh.”

Quote attributable to the Labor Candidate for Bass Jordan Crugnale

“The volunteers of the Phillip Island Brigade are always ready to turn out to keep people safe. It’s only fitting they get the facilities they need.”
