The Armstrong Creek community will get the new fire station it needs to keep them safe thanks to a re-elected Andrews Labor Government.

Only Labor will make sure our firefighters have the modern facilities they need, with a new $8.18 million three-bay fire station to be built in the area.

The station will also include eight bedrooms as a base for 21 career staff to support surrounding volunteer firefighters.

The Andrews Labor Government already provided funding in the Victorian Budget 2018/19 to purchase land for the new station.

Our emergency services workers and volunteers put their lives on the line for their fellow Victorians and that is why the Labor Government has invested heavily in Victoria’s emergency services - funding the infrastructure, training and equipment that is needed to keep communities safe.

Unlike the Coalition, who cut $66 million from the CFA and MFB while they were in office, we have made historic investments in our emergency services to keep all Victorians safe.

The Labor Government has also provided $35 million in new grants programs for volunteer emergency services organisations to help them fund training, development and other needs that volunteers identify.
