Families in Oak Park will be able to come together and celebrate victory on the pitch with a re-elected Andrews Labor Government to provide $50,000 for the Oak Park Soccer Club.

Oak Park Soccer Club is a proud, predominately Kurdish community club with men’s, women’s and kid’s teams.

Labor’s funding will go towards an upgrade of the club’s kitchen facilities, encouraging more community events and strengthening community ties.

With these upgrades from Labor, local clubs – and this proud, local community – will have the great sporting and community facilities they deserve.

As part of the Victorian Budget 2018/19, the Andrews Labor Government delivered vital funding to improve facilities for local multicultural communities, including a $17.1 million boost to the Multicultural Community Infrastructure Program.

Only Labor recognises the contribution of our proud Kurdish communities and only Labor is willing to make the investments that really matter.
