A BIGGER, BETTER OSBORNE PARK FOR GEELONG
Families in Geelong will be able to rely on great local sporting facilities, with a re-elected Andrews Labor Government to deliver $350,000 towards a vital upgrade of Osborne Park.
Right now, rapid growth at Geelong North Football Club is putting pressure on their facilities.
Funding from a re-elected Labor Government will go towards an upgrade of the Club’s function rooms and a relocation of the canopy at the Park.
The commitment builds on the Andrews Labor Government’s investments in local and community sport, including upgrades for Lara United’s Recreation Reserve, Bell Park Sports Club and Geelong Soccer Club.
With these upgrades from a re-elected Labor Government, local clubs – and this local community – will have the great sporting facilities they deserve.
While the Liberals cut funding for hospitals and schools, and closed TAFE campuses – only Labor will invest in the projects our community really needs.
The Labor Government has made the biggest investment in grassroots sporting opportunities in Victoria’s history, with $420 million dedicated to community sports.
