30 YEARS OF 3ZZZ MULTICULTURAL RADIO
A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will commit $100,000 over two years to 3ZZZ, the largest ethnic community radio station in Australia.
The capacity building grant will provide 3ZZZ with the opportunity to expand their services to better involve young people and women from our proud multicultural communities in radio.
3ZZZ began regular broadcasting in 1989 and now runs more than 60 language programs, supporting Victorians from every background to retain their heritage and language.
This investment builds on the work of 3ZZZ’s many donors and sponsors, as well as the hard work of its hundreds of volunteers.
Labor’s commitment will coincide with 3ZZZ’s 30th anniversary in 2019 and recognises the importance of supporting diverse voices in Australia’s media.
This investment goes to show, only Labor recognises the vast contributions of our multicultural communities, and is willing to make the investments that matter.
