Shared User Path To Connect Montmorency And Eltham

A re-elected Andrews Labor Government will deliver a new shared user path between Montmorency and Eltham, completing the Greensborough to Eltham path.

We’re making it easier for Victorians to cycle around our city and suburbs by investing $32.8 million to build this critical link from Montmorency Station to Eltham Station along the Hurstbridge line.

The missing link along the Eltham-Greensborough path will help connect communities – making getting to school, work, or just going for a bike ride easier and safer for kids and families.

Today’s announcement builds on Stage One of the Greensborough path already funded by the Labor Government in this year’s Budget, which will create a safer trip for cyclists and pedestrians.

The latest Victorian Budget funded a package of works on shared use paths within Victoria to improve walkability and providing safety and directness between suburbs.

Under a re-elected Labor Government cyclists and pedestrians will get new, safer paths and trails across Victoria with a massive investment in active transport.

We’ve delivered more than 200km of shared user paths through level crossing removals and suburban road upgrades - because only Labor will do what matters.
